Overview

Chai60 is a Nevada-based variety streamer who is passionate about making meaningful interactions with friends and strangers through video games and streaming.

Problem

Although Chai is a unique individual, it’s hard to stand out as a streamer in an industry that is oversaturated with so many different personalities.

Opportunity

Create a brand identity that helps reinforce Chai’s personality as a streamer through design visuals, such as a logo, motion piece, emotes, badges, and stream cards.

Stylescapes

I started this project off with an exercise with Chai in order to identify the brand attributes for this project. This helped me define the brand’s personality and how it represents Chai. I identified 3 keywords, futuristic, modern, and dynamic, and began creating stylescapes for them in order to explore their concepts more.

Logo Iterations

The shuriken shape really stood out to Chai, since he’s very sharp and precise with his gameplay. With that in mind, I explored that idea and created a few more iterations.

After finding our winner, we decided it was time to combine the logotype and logomark together.
