Smol Art Mart is an annual art market hosted in Seattle, WA, showcasing local artists.

This free event offers artists a valuable platform to expand their businesses, gain experience, and foster meaningful connections within the artistic community. As part of a team of 4, I am the Lead Designer for this event. I also share other administrative roles such as email management, artist applications, artist reviews, social media management, treasury, event coordination, and more.

Our first event was in 2023, featuring 20~ artists and an attendance of 500~ visitors. In 2024 we grew to feature over 80 artists with an attendance of over 4K visitors; in 2025 we expect to have over 6K visitors and will feature 150 artists.

Branding

I contributed to developing the brand strategy for Smol Art Mart, encompassing marketing, signage, social media, and overall identity. As part of a 4-person team, our roles spanned accounting, community outreach, event coordination, and my main focus: design and social media marketing

Logo With Word Lock-up

Although the logomark stays the same, Smol Art Mart isn’t committed to any particular font to reflect how every event features new themes and artists. The fonts we typically use are fun but still legible to match whatever theme we may have.

Event

I played an essential role in the success of the Smol Art Mart, handling design, marketing, and event coordination. From creating captivating promotional materials to coordinating the event floor plan and assisting artists, I ensured a seamless and engaging experience for all participants. At the information booth, I provided prompt and helpful assistance to attendees by answering any questions about Smol Art Mart and how to participate, volunteer, and what to expect in the future. The event was a huge success with over 2000 attendees recorded.
